Introduction
The department was established in 1999, and now has three academic systems: the Bachelor’s Program, the Master's Program, and the Master's In-service Program, with a total of over 450 students. Full-time faculty members all have doctoral degrees from well-known universities at home and abroad. The curriculum planning of the department connects students’ educational objectives, specialties, and future development. The departments is accredited by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan in its first, second, and third stages.

The department is the only one in the country that focuses on applied psychology and develops three major areas of application: (1.) helping people; (2.) criminology; and (3.) business. The department inspires students to explore the relationship between human psychology and behavior, and to learn and apply psychological knowledge such as mental consciousness, emotion, brain science, personality, social and artificial intelligence to make themselves, others, and society as a whole more harmonious.

After graduation, students are employed in various medical, educational, counseling, business and judicial institutions. Currently, the department has trained 168 psychologists. Each year, one of our students receives a grant from the National Science and Technology Council for a special research project. The department has various professional classrooms, including multi-purpose group classrooms, psychology labs, interview rooms, psychological testing rooms, and faculty-student discussion rooms, which offers students a great learning space.
